Chinese Stealth Armor New Vegas

broken image

I'm having trouble with the Chinese stealth armor. I recently traveled to New Vegas after completing most of everything in the Capitol Wasteland, after maybe two hours of playing in the Mojave i suddenly ran into a problem where my Chinese stealth suit is converted from the invisibility one from Operation Anchorage to the non invisibility one from Hoover Dam. I can't really tell if this is a problem with TTW or Project Nevada, however I've been playing for maybe 50 hours without this being an issue.

CHINESE STEALTH ARMOR Bad news, stealth fans. The Chinese Stealth Armor that you know and love from Fallout 3 does exist in Fallout: New Vegas, but it no longer has a stealth field on it. It's identical to recon armor except that it's light armor with a max DT of 12, whereas recon armor is medium armor with a max DT of 17. Those who loved using the Chinese Stealth Armor in Fallout 3 or New Vegas will love what the Stealth Suit MKII does. Only available in Old World Blues, this armor provides a plethora of benefits. Chinese Stealth Armor Mod New Vegas

Project Nevada
TTW
(The only thing i can think of i did differently is i sorted a few unrelated mods (not shown in load order) differently in the load order, however none of these clash with/override anything in TTW or PN. Though i also cleared the overwrite folder, but that hasn't been a problem before.)

Balance aside, the lore clearly states that the Chinese had invisible armor, and that American stealth boys are based off that technology. The New Vegas version is a prototype, and therefore it does not need the stealth field, but the one in OA is an actual relic from the invasion of Anchorage, and therefore needs the field. The armor was overpowered, but that does not excuse throwing lore and logic out the window, as obsidian did. The right thing for them to do would have been to change how stealth fields work, so they are not exploitable, rather than retconing their own lore.
